Anish, born in 2021, developed an early passion for chess, choosing chess videos over cartoons, inspired by players like Magnus Carlsen and YouTube's GothamChess. His parents supported his interest, leading to significant tournament achievements. He debuted in the West Bengal Under-9 Championship, securing 5.5 points out of 8, and even faced India’s top-ranked player, Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi, in an exhibition match.
